How to Use the Pregnancy Calculator

Of course. Here is a user-friendly guide on how to use the calculator, followed by an SEO-friendly description and content that you can place on your webpage to help it rank better in search engines.

How to Use the Pregnancy Calculator

Welcome to your free and easy-to-use pregnancy calculator! This tool is designed to give you a snapshot of your pregnancy journey. Here’s how to get started in three simple steps:

Step 1: Choose Your Calculation Method

First, select the most accurate calculation method for you from the dropdown menu.

  • Last Menstrual Period (LMP): This is the most common method. Choose this if you know the first day of your last period. The calculator will estimate your due date by adding 40 weeks (280 days) to this date.

  • Conception Date: If you know the exact date of conception (for example, through ovulation tracking or IVF), select this option. The calculator will add 38 weeks (266 days) to this date to estimate your due date.

  • Ultrasound Date: Use this method if you've had an ultrasound scan. You will need two pieces of information: the date of the ultrasound and the gestational age (e.g., "12 weeks") your doctor gave you at that time.

Step 2: Enter the Date

  • Based on your choice in Step 1, enter the correct date using the Day, Month, and Year fields.

Step 3: Calculate and View Your Results

Click the "Calculate Pregnancy Progress" button. Your results will instantly appear on the right, giving you a detailed overview:

  • Weeks Pregnant: Shows how many full weeks and extra days you are into your pregnancy (e.g., "15+4" means 15 weeks and 4 days).

  • Days Pregnant: The total number of days you have been pregnant.

  • Trimester: Indicates whether you are in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd trimester.

  • Due Date: Your estimated delivery date. Remember, this is an estimate and only about 5% of babies are born on their due date!

  • Pregnancy Progress: The progress bar gives you a visual representation of how far along you are.

  • Current Milestone: Discover a key fetal development milestone for your current week of pregnancy.

  • Download & Share: Use the buttons at the bottom to save a text file of your results or share them with your partner, family, and friends.
